The commemorative coin is dedicated to the year of the Tiger according to
the Chinese calendar based on the twelve-year cycle of the Jupiter, the
largest planet of the Solar system.

On the coin obverse
above there is the Small Coat of Arms of Ukraine; below there are the
inscription ÍÀÖ²ÎÍÀËÜÍÈÉ ÁÀÍÊ/ ÓÊÐÀ¯ÍÈ (National Bank/of Ukraine), the coin
face value 5/ ÃÐÈÂÅÍÜ (5/ Hryvnias) within a conventionalized vegetable
ornamentation pattern as well as indications of the coin issue year 2010,
metal and its fineness Ag 925, weight in fineness 15,55 g and the NBU Mint
logotype.

On the coin reverse there is
depicted in a technique of a cheap popular print a tiger within a
conventionalized vegetable ornamentation pattern (tiger’s eyes are
represented by citrines of 0.007 carat each). Both above and below this
composition there is a depiction of contour figures of all 12 symbols of the
Oriental calendar.
