The jubilee coin is dedicated to Petro Hryhorenko (1907 – 1987) – a public
and political figure, military theorist and famous advocate of human rights.
Petro Hryhorenko was one of the founders of the Ukrainian Helsinki Group, he
advocated return of the Crimean Tatars to their historical Motherland, the
right of Ukraine and other peoples of the USSR for independence.

On the coin obverse
above against the glass background there is the arciform inscription:
ÍÀÖ²ÎÍÀËÜÍÈÉ ÁÀÍÊ ÓÊÐÀ¯ÍÈ (National Bank of Ukraine), underneath - the Small
National Emblem of Ukraine, 2 ÃÐÈÂͲ/2007 (2 Hryvnia/ 2007), below there is
a symbolic composition: a sprout is breaking through a brick wall. To the
left there is the logotype of the National Bank of Ukraine Mint.

Petro Hryhorenko is portrayed as giving a speech, underneath - 1907/1987,
his years of life, to the left there is the arciform inscription: ÏÅÒÐÎ
ÃÐÈÃÎÐÅÍÊÎ (Petro Hryhorenko).
