The commemorative coin is dedicated to Oksana Andriivna PETRUSENKO
(1900-1940), an outstanding Ukrainian opera artist, one of the best
performers of romances and Ukrainian folk song singers, which had a uniquely
expressive voice of a large range and was very gifted with dramatics.

On the coin obverse:
above there is the Small Coat of Arms of Ukraine with the semicircular legend
ÍÀÖ²ÎÍÀËÜÍÈÉ ÁÀÍÊ ÓÊÐÀ¯ÍÈ (National Bank of Ukraine); below there is
depicted a poppy flower against the background of the stave with music
notation forming a circle; in the centre there is the legend 5 ÃÐÈÂÅÍÜ/2010
(5 hryvnias).

On the coin reverse:
there is a portrait of Oksana Petrusenko dressed in a Ukrainian national
costume, to the right whereof there are the inscriptions: the bow-shaped
ÎÊÑÀÍÀ ÏÅÒÐÓÑÅÍÊÎ (Oksana Petrusenko) and 1900/1940 (the years of her life).
