The coin is dedicated to Yevhen Petrushevych (1863 – 1940), a Ukrainian
lawyer, a figure of the Ukrainian national-liberation movement in Halychyna,
one of the founders of the Western-Ukrainian Peoples Republic, chairman of the
Ukrainian National Council, the parliament of the republic (actually, the WUPR
president).

On the coin obverse
in the centre there is the small National Emblem
of Ukraine, underneath – 2008, the coin mintage year; around the coin
circumference there are inscriptions: ÍÀÖ²ÎÍÀËÜÍÈÉ ÁÀÍÊ ÓÊÐÀ¯ÍÈ (National
Bank of Ukraine) (above), IJ ÃÐÈÂͲ (two Hrivnias) (beneath) and the
logotype of the Mint of the National Bank of Ukraine.

On the coin reverse
there is a portrait of Yevhen Petrushevych, on the
right: 1863/1940, his years of life, on the left - the lion of Halych and
beneath there is a semicircular inscription: ªÂÃÅÍ ÏÅÒÐÓØÅÂÈ× (Yevhen
Petrushevych).
