Series: Folk Musical Instruments
The coin is dedicated to the bandura, a stringed plucking-played musical instrument.
The raised obverse symbolizes bandura strings. Here a Ukrainian song is reproduced as a conventionalized Baroque ornamentation. Above there is the small National Emblem of Ukraine, conventionalized inscriptions in the Cossack script - УКРАЇНА (Ukraine). Beneath there are inscriptions: 2003, the coin issue year, 5 ГРИВЕНЬ (5 hryvnia) and the NBU Mint logotype.
On the coin reverse a bandura is depicted encircled with a Baroque ornament and the conventionalized inscription БАНДУРА (bandura) made to look like the Cossack script.
