organizing, developing, and implementing the overall legal policy at the NBU
providing legal assistance to the NBU’s units and protecting their interests in courts in line with the laws of Ukraine
representing (self-representing) the NBU in courts
providing legal support when processing requests from banks, participants of the non-bank financial services market and the payment market, and legal persons and individuals regarding banking services and operation on the non-bank financial services market and the payment market, within the NBU’s purview
defining and developing a methodological framework for applying rule-making techniques when developing the NBU’s regulations and administrative and operational orders
ensuring legal support to the NBU’s units in discussing the NBU’s draft regulations
organizing work on reviewing and finalizing draft laws of Ukraine submitted for the consideration of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine or filed with the NBU by public authorities or other entities
providing legal support for the NBU to perform its functions and conduct transactions within the scope of its authority and in line with the laws of Ukraine
conducting legal review of draft regulations and orders of the NBU as well as draft regulations prepared by other public authorities that fall within the NBU’s competence/authority
providing legal support with regard to the imposition of sanctions in accordance with the Law of Ukraine On Sanctions.
