In line with the recommendations of the IMF mission, the National Bank of Ukraine and Ministry of Finance of Ukraine establish a high level coordinating committee to pursue prudent and well-coordinated  monetary and fiscal policies and public debt management. The committee comprises Governor of the National Bank of Ukraine, Head of the NBU Monetary Policy Department, Minister of Finance of Ukraine and Head of the Debt Management Unit of the Ministry of Finance.

Commenting on the establishment of a high level coordinating committee, Governor of the National Bank of Ukraine Valeriia Gontareva noted: "Only close fruitful cooperation and collective responsibility of the Government and the National Bank of Ukraine will contribute to the stabilization of the exchange rate and facilitate the improvement of money market conditions".
