On April 2, 2015, Yurii Dzhus was appointed Director of the Central Vault of the National Bank of Ukraine.
Deputy Governor of the National Bank of Ukraine Yakiv Smolii expressed his confidence that over twenty years of managerial experience in the banking sector and high professionalism would enable the newly appointed director to perform the job of running the processes related to the cash storage and logistics in a competent, effective, and secure manner.
As a side note, the Central Vault of the National Bank of Ukraine accepts from and dispenses banknotes and coins to the regional offices of the National Bank of Ukraine, carries out the stock-taking of banknotes and coins, caters for the storage thereof, and carries out transportation of cash and other valuables within the National Bank of Ukraine.
Yurii Dzhus was born on February 18, 1966. In 1987, he graduated as an economist from Lviv Institute of Trade and Economics, where in majored in Business Economics. In 2011, Yurii Dzhus obtained Master's degree in Public Administration from Lviv Regional Institute of Public Administration of the National Academy of Public Administration attached to the Office of the President of Ukraine, where he specialized in Public Administration. In 2004, he received his PhD in Economics. Yurii Dzhus is married and has two daughters and a son.
After graduating from Lviv Institute of Trade and Economics, he worked as a junior researcher in the laboratory from 1987 to 1989. From 1991 to 2007, Yurii Dzhus worked as a senior economist, Deputy Chairman of the Management Board of Lviv JSCB, Deputy Managing Director, Managing Director of the branch office of INKO JSB, UCTB JSCB, and Chairman of the Management Board of EXPRESS-BANK JSCB (Kyiv). From 2007 to 2008, he served as First Deputy Chairman of the Management Board of Kyiv JSCB. From 2008 to 2011, Yurii Dzhus worked as Deputy Director General of the State Railway Administration of Ukraine. From 2011 to 2015 – Chairman of the Management Board, member of the Supervisory Council of EXPRESS-BANK JSCB.
