National Bank invites all interested stakeholders to attend a presentation to be given by Yuriy Gorodnichenko as part of a series of research seminars

We invite all interested stakeholders to participate in the next research seminar to be held at the National Bank of Ukraine from 11.00 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. on 2 November 2015.  Mr.  Yuriy Gorodnichenko, Associate Professor at the University of California (Berkeley) is to present the findings of his research paper entitled: “Inflation targeting   does not anchor inflation expectations: Evidence from firms in New Zealand”. The working language of the seminar will be English.

In order to participate in a seminar, all interested stakeholders are required to submit an application indicating surname, name of the applicant, the place of employment, and contact information (telephone, e-mail) by October 29, 2015 via e-mail to [email protected].   Given the limited seats available, the National Bank of Ukraine reserves the right to accept or reject applications. An applicant will be informed of the results whether the application form is accepted or not by the end of the day on October 30, 2015.

Seminar venue: room 206, 9, Instytutska St., Kyiv. The venue can be accessed via the central entrance.    All participants are required to have a passport or any other ID document. Registration of participants will be held from 10.30 a.m. to 10.45 a.m.

The National Bank of Ukraine launched a series of research seminars last summer. During these seminars, representatives from the academic and expert community, international financial institutions, other central banks and the National Bank of Ukraine are offered an opportunity to present their research findings and discuss them within a narrow circle of experts.  With the aim of arranging further research seminars, we encourage potential contributors to collaborate with us and present the findings of their research studies on issues related to the activities of the National Bank of Ukraine and the operation of the financial system. Proposals (with an indication of a suitable date for the seminar, and attached presentation materials, an executive summary and/or draft contributions) should be sent to the Research Division of the Monetary Policy and Economic Analysis Department via e-mail to [email protected] or [email protected].
