The National Bank of Ukraine Starts Publishing Banks' Financial Statements on a Monthly Basis

The National Bank of Ukraine has started publishing banks’ individual performance indicators on a monthly basis. Statistics section of the NBU's official website features financial reporting as of 1 September 2017, which has become the first reporting published in the new format.

The data are broken down by banks and contain:

  • trial balance
  • structure of household and corporate loans by classes (in accordance with the Regulation for Measuring Credit Risk Generated by Banks’ Asset Operations)

Starting 2018, the NBU also plans to publish reports on regulatory capital structure with a breakdown by banks.

As already noted by the NBU, making banks’ reports more open to the public will give customers and investors a better picture of their financial standing and allow making reasonable cooperation decisions, in particular decisions on depositing funds. Disclosure of this information will also bring greater transparency to operations of individual banks and the entire banking sector.

The information is published subject to NBU Board Resolution No.85 dated 31 August 2017.
