The NBU project Culture of Thinking has taken third place in the 2017 HR-brand award in the nomination Ukraine. The purpose of this project was to move to a new format of NBU management and organizational design through introduction of process management and development of a flexible corporate culture.
“It is the second award obtained by the NBU. Last year we received the first prize in the nomination Ukraine with the project The PERSONal Transformation of the NBU, noted Personnel Department Director Olha Prokhorenko during the presentation of the project at the award final conference on 5 December this year. The Culture of Thinking project summarizes the transformation that the central bank has already undergone as an institution, and sets new guidelines for organizational development, including improving internal processes and interaction, developing a new management culture and leadership in relation to the NBU's strategy.”
According to Olha Prokhorenko, the Culture of Thinking project was developed and implemented by the Personnel Department together with the NBU Department of Strategy and Reform. Project structure included two directions:
- introduction of a process management culture and transition to process management in accordance with the NBU strategic objectives;
- development of corporate culture in line with the NBU vision of the future and the strategy of corporate culture development in the long run of 10 years in the context of the NBU strategy.
According to Inna Turchenko, Head of the NBU Process Management Office, the formation of the NBU values, its mission and vision was the basis for restructuring the organizational thinking.
“For three years of transformation, the NBU has achieved significant results. We are on the right track in the direction of creating a modern and innovative regulator that will become a benchmark for the Ukrainian banking sector,” said Inna Turchenko.
