The National Bank of Ukraine updated the current Rules for Storage, Protection, Use and Disclosure of Bank Secrecy and resolved the issue of banking secrecy information disclosure (by banks) in electronic format.
In particular, the NBU:
- updated references to the laws of Ukraine, which entailed adoption of the Rules for Storage, Protection, Use and Disclosure of Bank Secrecy (approved by NBU Board Resolution No. 267 dated 14 July 2006).
- improved the procedure for e-disclosure of banking secrecy information by banks.
- defined the details of provision by banks of the banking secrecy information to the National Anti-Corruption Bureau of Ukraine, private executors;
- defined the details of the procedure for the use of seals in connection with the enaction of the Law of Ukraine On Amendments to Some Legal Acts of Ukraine Regulating the Use of Seals by Legal Entities and Entrepreneurs.
Appropriate amendments were approved by NBU Board Resolution No. 124 dated 4 December 2017 On Approval of Amendments to the Rules for Storage, Protection, Use and Disclosure of Bank Secrecy and will come into force on 1 January 2018.
