From 10 until 14 April 2014, a Ukrainian delegation led by Governor of the National Bank of Ukraine Stepan Kubiv will be on an official visit to the United States of America.
As part of the visit to the USA, the Ukrainian delegation is to take part in the Annual Meetings of the Boards of Governors of the IMF and the World Bank Group to be held in Washington.
The main aim of the visit is to hold working-level consultations on the implementation of economic reforms in Ukraine, specifically, monetary and foreign exchange policy reforms, and a financial assistance package to be provided to Ukraine under the Stand-By Arrangement.
As part of the visit to the Washington, members of the Ukrainian delegation are scheduled to meet high-ranking officials of the US State department, the senior officials of the International Monetary Fund and the World Bank, and representatives of the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development.
The Governor of the National Bank of Ukraine is to hold negotiations with the governors of central banks of Poland, the Netherlands, Canada and Austria.
When on an official visit to the USA, the Ukrainian delegation is to attend the IMF/WB Netherlands Constituency meetings and participate in the plenary session of the IMF's International Monetary and Financial Committee.
The Ukrainian delegation is expected to hold meetings with the representatives of the Ukrainian Diaspora, leading American corporations and business associations, as well as other persons interested in investing in the Ukrainian economy.
In addition, the current state and development prospects for trade and economic relations between Ukraine and the United States of America will also be high on the agenda at the meetings.
