The National Bank of Ukraine (NBU), jointly with The Centre for Economic Strategy (CES) and The Vienna Institute for International Economic Studies (wiiw), invites you to join the discussion Who Are Ukrainian Migrants, and How Do They Affect the Economies of EU Countries?

The event will take place on 22 February at 5 p.m. (Kyiv time) via Zoom.

Since russia launched the full-scale war against Ukraine, millions of Ukrainians have been forced to leave the country. We have tried to understand who exactly has gone abroad, how Ukrainians are influencing the EU economy, and what will motivate them to return home.

During the discussion, CES economists will present the results of sociological surveys and in-depth interviews about what the Ukrainian migrants’ attitudes are and how they are changing. NBU experts will present an analysis of the impact of the Ukrainian migration wave on the economies of EU countries.

Analysts from wiiw will share their perspective on Ukrainian displaced persons, based on wiiw research on migration.

The event will be in Ukrainian with simultaneous translation into English.
