The NBU has obliged the banks to work without days off on 7 and 8 March 2022, under martial law.
"Under martial law, banks must fulfill their civic duty and work seven days a week, providing necessary banking services to Ukrainians," said NBU Governor Kyrylo Shevchenko. "To this end, banks must ensure proper and uninterrupted operation of their branches and offices, unless doing so puts at risk the lives and health of the public."
The NBU System of Electronic Payments (SEP) is working smoothly and in regular mode, following the pre-established technological procedure (23 hours a day). It means, SEP participants can make interbank payments almost 24/7, meeting their needs, needs of their clients and operating in line with Ukrainian law.
