NBU Adds New Indicators of Domestic Government Debt Securities Performance to Financial Markets Section

Starting 1 May 2024, the National Bank of Ukraine is expanding the Financial Markets section of its official website with new indicators of the domestic government debt securities market. The page contains detailed information on transactions conducted with domestic government debt securities in the secondary market, categorized by certain parameters:

  • issue currency
  • type of transactions, and
  • maturity of the securities.

The relevant information is presented in the form of graphs, enabling users to visually track changes in the domestic government debt securities market's operations over any period of time within the last five years.  Additionally, users have the option to download the necessary data in a convenient format available in both Ukrainian and English.

The expansion of statistical reporting aims to enhance the transparency of the domestic government debt securities market, simplify access to information on the market for both Ukrainian and foreign investors, thereby increasing their awareness of potential transactions and the parameters of relevant securities.

These changes will also help improve the compliance of the NBU's Depository with the Principles for Financial Market Infrastructures (PFMI). In this way, the NBU Depository enhances the transparency of its operations and improves user access to information regarding securities transactions it services.
