The National Bank of Ukraine, ensuring transparency and free access to information, begins to regularly publish information about distribution of value and quantity of cashless transactions with the use of payment cards.
The information will be posted on the NBU's website on a quarterly basis under the following categories of cashless transactions:
- card-to-card payments
- transactions via Internet
- settlements at retailers
- transactions via self-service devices.
"The expansion in the amount of information about transactions with payment cards in Ukraine will allow payment market participants to analyze trends of its development and consumers' demand in detail. This, in its turn, will facilitate implementation of new innovative solutions and development of the payment infrastructure to better meet the needs of consumers in the area of cashless payments," said Olha Vasylieva, Acting Director of the NBU Payment Systems and Innovative Development Department.
The above information will be published according to NBU Board Decision No. 579-D of 11 September 2017.
