National Bank of Ukraine Adopts a Decision on Withdrawal of the Banking License and Liquidation of CB KHRESCHATYK PJSC

On  2 June 2016, the National Bank of Ukraine, upon the proposal of the Deposit Guarantee Fund,  issued decision No. 46 On Revoking a Banking License and Liquidating CB KHRESCHATYK PJSC.

On 5 April 2016, CB KHRESCHATYK  PJSC was declared insolvent due to the bank’s failure to take measures to improve its liquidity position and the lack of sufficient actions by the bank’s owners   to prevent this financial institution from slipping into insolvency, and given that CB KHRESCHATYK  PJSC’s activities failed to meet the requirements of applicable banking laws and NBU regulations.

It should be stressed that following the verification process carried out by the  NBU  in 2015, the bank’s ownership structure was identified as transparent. The bank's beneficial owners are Mr Andrii Ivanov (holding a 37.44% stake),  the Kyiv territorial community  represented by the  Kyiv City State Administration (a 25% stake), Mr Mykola Soldatenko (holding a 24.24% stake), and a number of minority shareholders.
