National Bank of Ukraine adopted a decision on withdrawal of the banking license and liquidation of UKRKOMUNBANK PJSC

On September 14, 2015, the National Bank of Ukraine adopted a decision on withdrawal of the banking license and liquidation of PUBLIC JOINT STOCK COMPANY "UKRKOMUNBANK” (hereinafter – UKRKOMUNBANK PJSC).

In view of the conduct of the anti-terrorist operation in the city of Luhansk, which posed a threat to the life and health  of the Bank's staff and clients, as well as the inability to perform operations  due to technical problems, UKRKOMUNBANK PJSC ceased its operation on August 1, 2014.

Given the  failure of the bank’s owners to take measures to  resume the operation of the bank and undergo the state registration procedure in the government-controlled territory, as well as UKRKOMUNBANK PJSC’s inability to meet its obligations to creditors and depositors, the bank's non-compliance with the regulatory requirements set by the National Bank of Ukraine,  and in order to protect the interests of depositors and other creditors, in May 2015, the Board of the National Bank of Ukraine issued a decision declaring UKRKOMUNBANK PJSC insolvent.

Having considered the proposal issued by the Deposit Guarantee Fund, on September 14, 2015, the Board of the National Bank of Ukraine issued Resolution No. 604 on withdrawal of the banking license and liquidation of UKRKOMUNBANK PJSC.  .
