Based on the assessment of compliance with the qualification criteria, the NBU Committee on Banking Supervision and Regulation and Oversight of Payment Systems decided to reject the candidacy of Thorsten Paul for the post of an independent director and the Chairperson of the Supervisory Board of Ukreximbank JSC. The NBU will further demand to replace the candidate in line with the law.

At the same time, based on the assessment of compliance with the qualification criteria, the NBU decided to approve the following persons:

  • Victoriia Strakhova (a state representative from the President of Ukraine)
  • Yurii Butsa (a state representative from the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine).
