NPS PROSTIR Cancels Interchange Fee for Payments for Goods and Services

The National Payment System (NPS) Prostir has decided to temporarily waive the interbank (interchange) commission it normally charges for transactions made by PROSTIR payment card users to pay for goods and services.

The NPS PROSTIR’s decision came after the banking community initiated a proposal to cancel this commission.

“This decision aims to stimulate cashless transactions and safeguard both businesses and individuals, including bank employees, while martial law is in effect in Ukraine. The push by banks to abolish the commission for acquiring services will support retailers and service providers that are trying as best they can to keep our economy up and running as our nation repels enemy attacks,” said Andrii Poddieriohin, Director of the NBU’s Payment Systems and Innovations Department.
