The National Bank of Ukraine (NBU) started disclosing the details of the issuance of Ukrainian domestic government bonds in open data (API) format. Information is available on the NBU’s official website in the section Public Information in the Open Data (API).
Anybody in need of information can get it automatically through current data on government bonds of which the NBU’s Depository keeps records.
The new page with API tools will first of all meet the needs of financial market participants in obtaining timely information on parameters of bond issuance such as ISIN codes, maturity periods, amounts of coupon income, dates of interest payment, etc. The data will be beneficial for professional stock market players as well as for private investors who invest in domestic government bonds.
Opening the API reference book on securities to the public is the first step in transforming the information published by the NBU’s Depository into open data format.
The NBU will expand the list of information on government securities that is not restricted but is nevertheless relevant for market players, the professional expert community, and investors.
