Today, on April 23, the National Bank of Ukraine Board passed a resolution declaring Interbank PJSC insolvent in light of the bank's poor financial health and the threat posed to the interests of creditors and depositors of this bank.
Pursuant to the applicable law, the bank that has been declared insolvent shall be placed in the hands of the Deposit Guarantee Fund that shall appoint the provisional administration and authorized officials to this financial institution.
The Fund shall search for potential investors or in the absence of these investors suggest the most cost-effective way of winding up the failing bank within the time frame specified in the law.
Please be aware that that the Fund guarantees to all bank depositors the repayment of their deposits, including interest accrued on the date of passing the decision by the National Bank of Ukraine to declare a bank insolvent and initiation of a winding-up procedure by the Fund, but not more than the maximum deposit insurance amount established on the date of passing this decision, regardless of the number of deposits held at one bank. To date, the Fund protects eligible deposits up to a limit of UAH 200.0 thousand.
