As part of the already launched resolution procedure in respect of UKOOPSPILKA JSB, on April 22, 2015, the National Bank of Ukraine adopted a decision to revoke a banking license and wind up this bank.
In view of the failure by UKOOPSPILKA JSB to take appropriate measures to remedy the breaches of NBU regulations, given the absence of a credible resolution plan to recover this bank and its poor financial standing, and in order to protect the interests of depositors and other creditors of UKOOPSPILKA JSB, in January 2015, the National Bank of Ukraine adopted a decision to declare UKOOPSPILKA JSB insolvent (NBU Board Resolution No.39 dated January 22, 2015).
In compliance with Article 34, Section VII of the Law of Ukraine On Household Deposit Guarantee System, the Executive Directorate of the Deposit Guarantee Fund (hereinafter – the Fund) adopted Decision No. 12, dated January 22, 2015, whereby UKOOPSPILKA JSB was placed under provisional administration (for the period from 23.01.2015 to 22.04.2015), and the Fund's authorized person was appointed to that effect.
Having considered the proposal of the Fund concerning liquidation of UKOOPSPILKA JSB, on April 22, 2015, the Board of the National Bank of Ukraine approved Resolution No. 264 on revoking the banking license held by UKOOPSPILKA JSB and winding up this bank.
