Launch of 23/7 Operation of SEP to Be Postponed Due to Quarantine

The National Bank of Ukraine (NBU) has postponed the launch of 23/7 operation of the NBU System of Electronic Payments (SEP)1.

The NBU understands that banks have some difficulties due to the quarantine and other measures introduced in Ukraine to prevent the spread of COVID-19 caused by the new coronavirus. 

The new operation mode will be introduced in 30 calendar days after the quarantine is lifted2. The exact date will be additionally announced.

Please be reminded that the NBU planned transition of the SEP to the extended operating mode from 1 April 2020, with the system providing interbank payments twenty-three seven (23/7).
