“We have had productive discussions, during which the presidents agreed on the provision of USD 200 million in additional assistance to Ukraine. These funds will be used to replenish Ukraine's international reserves,” said NBU Governor Ms Gontareva, commenting on the outcome of the talks.
As a side note, in 2015, Ukraine received over USD 11 billion under the IMF's Extended Fund Facility (EFF) and the related official financing package provided by bilateral partner countries and international financial institutions. In particular, the NBU established currency swap lines with the People's Bank of China, Sveriges Riksbank and Narodowy Bank Polski to the tune of CNY 15 billion, USD 500 million and PLN 4 billion respectively.
