As of 1 May 2024, the balance in the special fundraising account the NBU opened to support the defense forces on 24 February 2022 makes over UAH 738 million. Last month, over UAH 303 million was received in the special account.
Over UAH 36 billion was received in the special account since russia launched the full-scale war.
Money has been coming in from individuals and businesses of Ukraine and from all over the international community (including the United States, the United Kingdom, Germany, Sweden, Finland, Poland, Switzerland, Norway, Australia, France, Canada, Bulgaria, Hong Kong, and many other countries).
That includes the equivalent of over UAH 15.9 billion that has been remitted from abroad in foreign currencies (U.S. Dollars, euros, GB pounds, Canadian dollars, Chinese renminbi, Japanese yen, Swiss francs, Polish zlotys, Australian dollars).
Overall, since the start of the full-scale war, the NBU has allocated more than UAH 35.5 billion (over UAH 1 billion in April 2024) to meet the needs of the defense, in particular:
over UAH 1,443 million for the National Guard of Ukraine
UAH 1,650 million for the National Police of Ukraine
over UAH 22,854 million for the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine
over UAH 1,000 million for the State Border Guard Service of Ukraine
over UAH 7,030 million for the State Service of Special Communication and Information Protection of Ukraine (UAH 106.6 million on 11 April 2024; UAH 99.1 million on 12 April 2024; almost UAH 4.9 million on 16 April, UAH 74.7 million on 22 April 2024, UAH 850,000 as of 23 April 2024, UAH 437.3 million on 24 April 2024, and UAH 1.3 million on 29 April 2024)
over UAH 156.2 million for the State Emergency Service of Ukraine
UAH 40.5 million for the NSDC of Ukraine
over UAH 233 million for the State Special Transport Service (UAH 20 million on 1 April 2024)
over UAH 548.2 million for the Security Service of Ukraine (UAH 115 million on 19 April 2024)
over UAH 552.9 million for the needs of military units (UAH 45 million on 2 April 2024; and UAH 151.7 million on 19 April 2024).
