This coin celebrates one of the twelve animals of the Chinese calendar. The snake is the sixth sign of the Chinese zodiac, symbolizing flexibility, intuition, and calmness. It embodies deep knowledge, prudence, adaptability, and survival in any environment.

Obverse: above is Ukraine’s small coat of arms, to the right of which is the semicircular legend УКРАЇНА (Ukraine); against a smooth background are the 12 symbols of the Chinese zodiac depicted around a circle; in the center of the circle is a stylized clock with a hand pointing to the snake – the symbol of 2025; above the hand is the legend 2025; beneath, to the left, is the semicircular legend 5 ГРИВЕНЬ (5 hryvnias); against a matt background are the symbols of each season, stylized to resemble a Ukrainian ornament: a snowflake (above), a flower (to the right), a berry (beneath), and a leaf (to the left); the mint mark of the NBU’s Banknote Printing and Minting Works is to the right, above the symbol of the tiger.

Reverse: in the center is the 2025 symbol of the Chinese calendar – a mysterious snake, which also means danger for the enemy. The image is made to resemble a hexagon, which expresses dynamics and inner strength, and together with the image of an aggressive head, it stands for hostility and unpredictability for an attacker. The tail of the snake is intricately twisted, resembling a saber and symbolizing readiness for struggle. The snake is circled by stylized symbols of each season: snowflakes (above, to the right), flowers (beneath, to the right), fruit (beneath, to the left), and tree branches (above, to the left).

This medal celebrates the 10th anniversary of the adoption of the Law of Ukraine On the National Anti-Corruption Bureau of Ukraine. The NABU is a central executive body with a special status. It was created to prevent, detect, stop, investigate and solve corruption cases that pose a threat to national security. Since its inception, this institution has uncovered numerous cases of bribery, embezzlement of state property and illicit enrichment among high-ranking officials. This medal symbolizes the NABU’s achievements in its fight against grand corruption, as well as the contribution of this law enforcement agency to shaping the future of Ukraine as part of the European community.

Obverse: in the center, against a smooth background, is the logotype of the National Anti-Corruption Bureau of Ukraine, above which are Ukraine’s small coat of arms and the legend УКРАЇНА (Ukraine); beneath are the medal’s issue year – 2024 and the mint mark of the NBU’s Banknote Printing and Minting Works.

Reverse: in the center is a stylized image of a sunflower blooming under the sun, the shape of which recalls the logotype of the institution. The unlit and wilted petals on the barren and dry land act as an allegory of the harmful effects of darkness and drought on the development of sunflowers, just as corruption negatively affects the development of the state and society. It is the “fight of light against darkness (corruption)” that allows sunflowers to flourish and states to develop and prosper. The overall composition of the reverse forms a stylized prohibition sign; there is also the circular legend – the NABU’s slogan – ЗНЕШКОДИТИ і ЗАПОБІГТИ (Eradicate and Prevent). This coin celebrates the outstanding achievements of Ukrainian athletes who have made Ukraine famous on the world stage – from the first legendary records to the triumphant victory of boxer Oleksandr Usyk, who became the undisputed world heavyweight champion in May 2024. By holding simultaneously four of the most prestigious belts in boxing, he demonstrated to the world the indomitable spirit, fortitude and the limitless possibilities of Ukrainians. This coin honors the feats of Ukrainian athletes and reminds us that even in the most difficult times Ukrainians are capable of great victories.

Obverse: against a smooth background is a traditional Crimean Tatar ornament that stands for the Crimean descent of Oleksandr Usyk. This pattern, which was carefully selected and used by Ukrainian designer Elvira Hasanova as one of the athlete’s images in the face-off before his fight for the title of undisputed world champion, emphasizes the inextricable connection between Crimea and Ukraine. Above, to the right of the ornament are the coin’s issue year – 2024 and Ukraine’s small coat of arms. Beneath, to the right are the legend УКРАЇНА (Ukraine), the coin’s face value 5, the graphic symbol of the hryvnia, and the mint mark of the NBU’s Banknote Printing and Minting Works.
