On 18 September 2012, Mr. Oleksandr I. Petryk was appointed as Director of General Economic Department of the National Bank of Ukraine.

Since 1991, Mr. Oleksandr I. Petryk has been working at the National Bank of Ukraine where he has held various positions, including Head of Sector, Head of Division for Forecasting and Advanced Research, Deputy Director of Economic Department, Director of Department for Economic Analysis, Research and Forecasting, Deputy Director of General Economic Department – Director of Department for Economic Analysis and Forecasting. He is a professor, with a PhD degree in Economics.

Since 18 September 2012, Mr. Oleksandr I. Petryk, Director of General Economic Department, has been a member of the Board of the National Bank of Ukraine.
