A joint conference by the Editorial Board of NBU Periodicals and the Banking University of the National Bank of Ukraine devoted to the two hundredth issue of the National Bank of Ukraine Herald took place on 25 October 2015. This ceremonial event became the research forum bringing together colleagues and partisans, with nearly a hundred researchers, contributors, readers and experts from the National Bank and the banking system participating therein.

During the course of the conference, welcome addresses and speeches were delivered by Professor Oleksandr Petryk,  Ph.D. in Economics, Director of the NBU General Economic Department, Associate Professor Oleksandr Kirieiev, Ph.D. in Economics, Chairman of the Editorial Board of the National Bank of Ukraine Herald, Ms. Liudmyla Patrikats, Editor-in-Chief of the Editorial Board of NBU Periodicals – Editor-in-Chief of the National Bank of Ukraine Herald, Professor Tamara Smovzhenko, Ph.D. in Economics, Ms. Antonina Palamarchuk, Chairman of the Board of “The First All-Ukrainian Credit History Bureau”, Professor Anatolii Vozhzhov, PhD in Economics, Head of the Department of Finance and Credit at Sevastopol National Technical University and Mr. Zdzisław Sokal, member of the NBP Management Board. The speakers emphasized the importance of the periodical that keeps the public informed about the current state of the banking system, the monetary policy pursued by the regulator, the main directions for its development and regulations in this area. According to them, the National Bank of Ukraine Herald proves to be a credible periodical that enjoys popularity among a wide range of experts, a unique journal containing official announcements, in-depth macroeconomic research, statistical surveys, scientific discussions, banking innovations, in particular, methods, instruments, approaches and competitive strategies.

The editorial team of NBU Periodicals appreciates the cooperation with all the contributors to the journal who are pioneers of modern scientific thought in the fields of banking and finance. On the occasion of two hundredth jubilee issue of the journal, the most influential contributors to the journal were determined in several nominations, including the “Top 20 most influential PhD holders – contributors to the journal “National Bank of Ukraine Herald”, “Top 20 PhD holders – active contributors to the journal “National Bank of Ukraine Herald”, “Top 10 contributors to the journal “National Bank of Ukraine Herald” collaborating with the journal since it was founded “, “A tower of strength for the editorial board”, and “Honorable foreign partner”. The winners will set an example to many followers who work in the field of banking, economic science and education. Ms. Liudmyla Patrikats, Editor-in-Chief of the Editorial Board of NBU Periodicals – Editor-in-Chief of the National Bank of Ukraine Herald, handed out Diplomas, honorary mentions and prizes established by the National Bank of Ukraine Herald to the winners. She noted that the ceremonial event devoted to the jubilee issue of the journal had brought together true friends, colleagues who had been publishing their articles in the National Bank of Ukraine Herald since the first issue of the journal. Together with its contributors, the NBU Herald has been making progress. This is seen as a joint achievement of a large and united family aiming to achieve the same goal.

During the course of the conference, the Editorial Board members of NBU Periodicals and former employees were introduced to the conference participants, handouts on NBU Periodicals were given out, the main topics of publications were outlined and subscription information was provided. The participants had the opportunity to establish contacts, discuss future plans and exchange ideas.
