Instances of unfounded refusals by certain banking institutions to sell foreign currency to natural persons have been reported recently. The National Bank of Ukraine monitors these instances of infringement and requests the public to report them by calling (044) 230-19-60 or contacting the regional branches of the National Bank of Ukraine.

Acting upon these reports, the National Bank of Ukraine will apply strict sanctions to the banks guilty of violating the norms of Ukrainian law currently in force by unfoundedly refusing to sell available foreign currency, ranging from fines to restrictions placed on operations under certain paragraphs of general licenses.
