The National Bank of Ukraine continues to disclose information on loans granted to the Ukrainian banks and the Deposit Guarantee Fund by the National Bank of Ukraine.
In January 2015, the total outstanding debt on these loans increased by UAH 1.26 billion and as of February 1, 2015, amounted to UAH 120.4 billion. In January, the National Bank of Ukraine disbursed loans worth UAH 13.17 billion to banks. The total amount of repaid loans (loans that have been granted to banks earlier) stood at UAH 11.91 billion.
In January, the National Bank of Ukraine disbursed UAH 2.9 billion worth in loans with a maturity of over 30 days to the two Ukrainian banks. In particular, the next installments of an emergency loan worth UAH 2.38 billion were disbursed to CB PRIVATBANK PJSC pursuant to the decision adopted on December 4, 2014. In December, this bank received the first installment of the loan worth UAH 850 million. The loan is disbursed in installments commensurate with the amount by which amounts due to individuals decreased in periods preceding the date of disbursement of the next loan installment.
In addition, in January 2015, the Deposit Guarantee Fund, which, in compliance with applicable law, had applied to the National Bank of Ukraine for a loan, received a loan worth UAH 400 million.
