National Bank of Ukraine accedes to the electronic procurement system

On March 19, 2015, as part of the initiated reform agenda, the Board of the National Bank of Ukraine took a decision to adopt the e-procurement system for NBU-funded below-threshold procurements of goods and services. Going forward, all the bank's procurements of standardized goods up to the amount of UAH 100 thousand will be made through the electronic trading facility.

The National Bank of Ukraine has participated in the pilot project to adopt the electronic public procurement system ProZorro. This system offers significant advantages to the National Bank of Ukraine: the use of electronic means in conducting a public procurement procedure will ensure its transparency, fair competition, and cost-saving of public funds and enable it to streamline the public procurement process. It is already clear that that the government authorities that have switched to using electronic trading facilities will save up to 20% on procurement costs. We also want to be pioneers in this area. Hopefully, we will soon report on first procurements and invite companies to participate in competitive bidding," emphasized Deputy Governor of the National Bank of Ukraine Vladyslav Rashkovan.
