Vadym Myroniuk was appointed Director of the NBU Internal Audit Department on April 23, 2015.
The relevant personnel decision was approved by the Council of the National Bank of Ukraine in accordance with Article 69 of the Law of Ukraine On the National Bank of Ukraine.
Governor of the National Bank of Ukraine Valeriia Gontareva has highly appreciated the expertise of the newly appointed Director of the Internal Audit Department and his willingness to actively work on reforming and improving the internal control framework of the National Bank. "I hope that Vadym Myronyuk's long-term experience in the banking sector and the knowledge he has gained throughout his career will contribute to making audits and an assessment of the efficiency of the internal control framework more efficient and effective, and improving the quality of guidelines as to how to remedy the existing imbalances in the regulator's performance," she said.
Vadym Myronyuk was born on January 31, 1980. In 2002, he graduated from the International Relations Institute of Kyiv Taras Shevchenko National University, having majored in International Economic Relations. In 2003, Vadym Myronyuk graduated from the City University Business School (London, UK), having specialized in Trade and Finance. He has held a PhD in Economics since 2005. Vadym Myronyuk is fluent in English and French.
Vadym Myronyuk has spent his entire career working in the banking industry. His career was launched in 2003, when he joined PRAVEX-BANK PJSCCB.
From 2004 to 2011, Vadym Myronyuk worked at UkrSibbank JSC, where he held the positions of Head of Investment Financing and Funding Division of International Business Department, Head of International Business Department, and Director of International Banking Service.
From 2011 to 2014, he worked as an inspector (auditor) at the BNP Paribas General Inspection (internal audit) (France).
Starting from 2014, Vadym Myronyuk has been working as a project leader at the NBU Office for Banking System Strategy and Reform.

The regulator controls the activities of its structural units by means of the internal audit to be carried out by the internal audit department of the National Bank directly subordinate to the Governor of the National Bank.
The main tasks of the Internal Audit Department are to evaluate the effectiveness of risk management processes, internal control and exercise of managerial functions by the NBU structural subdivisions, and to provide them with guidelines as to how to enhance the efficiency of these processes to ensure the exercise of functions by the National Bank of Ukraine.
