In order to adjust the procedure for submission of statistical reports, the National Bank of Ukraine has made a number of changes to the Rules of Arrangement of Statistical Reports to be Submitted to the National Bank of Ukraine, and to the Rules of Arrangement of Statistical Reports to be Submitted to the National Bank of Ukraine under conditions of specific period (NBU Board Resolutions No 279 and No 280 dated 28.04.2015, respectively).
The mentioned amendments are intended to ensure more efficient implementation of the monetary policy, bank regulation and supervision by the regulator, and are based on recommendations of the audit company – Deloitte and Touche USC, PJSC in Ukraine.
Basically, the changes made to the said documents concern:
- centralization of function of acceptance of statistical reports submitted to the National Bank of Ukraine;
- change of time limits for submitting statistical report forms from “calendar days” to “business days”;
- improvement of statistical report forms, simplification of filling-in procedure, exclusion of certain performance indicators of banking institutions with respect to compliance with the laws governing relations in terms of prevention and counteraction to Legalization (Laundering) of proceeds from Crime, terrorist financing and financing of proliferation of mass destruction weapons;
- update of versions of statistical reporting forms and explanations on filling-in thereof in accordance with new principles and approaches to determination and accumulation of mandatory reserves by banks;
- bringing the procedure for submission of statistical report forms in compliance with changes in the NBU structure;
- bringing statistical report forms in compliance with changes made to the applicable laws, etc.
The aforementioned NBU Board Resolutions enter into force on the day following their official publication.
