###Data on the international reserves for May 2015 have been revised

According to the updated information,  as of 1 June 2015, the Ukrainian international reserves  totaled USD 9,918 million in the equivalent. In May 2015, the international reserves increased by more than USD 287 million.

It was facilitated by formation of the surplus of NBU interventions in the interbank foreign exchange market as well as by obtainment of USD 1 billion from placement of external government loan bonds guaranteed by the U.S. government. The international reserves of Ukraine grew despite the necessity of making sizable payments related to the repayment and servicing of the public debt and government-backed foreign currency debt in the amount of USD 758.7 million, including the debt on external government loan bonds and government securities  (USD 605.6 million) and the debt to the International Monetary Fund (USD 32.4 million).

Currently, the volume of the international reserves of Ukraine is sufficient to meet the obligations and conduct current transactions of the Government and the National Bank of Ukraine.
