Today, the Council of the National Bank of Ukraine approved the appointment of Oleh Churii as Deputy Governor of the National Bank of Ukraine.

On 27 April 2015, Oleh Churii, Director of Open Market Operations Department, was entrusted with powers of Deputy Governor of the National Bank of Ukraine.

From 16 June 2015, Oleh Churii is Deputy Governor of the National Bank of Ukraine.

His scope of responsibility includes general management and control over operation of units engaged in the regulator’s market operations.

On 16 June 2015, Serhii Ponomarenko, the former Head of Office for Foreign Exchange Transactions and Financial Markets Analysis of Open Market Operations Department, was appointed as Director of the said Department.

Valeria Gontareva, Governor of the National Bank of Ukraine, expressed confidence in high productivity and efficiency of work of the newly appointed top managers of the regulator. "Professional qualification and experience of Oleh Churii and Serhii Ponomarenko, their adherence to modern approaches in management of the foreign exchange and money markets give reasons to expect substantial results in further stabilization of the situation and in the start of liberalization processes in the country’s economy", - she added.
