On July 7, 2015, the Board of the National Bank of Ukraine adopted Resolution No 439 On Amendemnts to Some Regulations of the National Bank of Ukraine  (hereinafter – Resolution No 439).

Resolution No. 439 amends the Instruction on the Interbank Transfer of Funds in the Domestic Currency in Ukraine and the Rules Governing the Protection of Electronic Banking Documents Using Information Protection Facilities of the National Bank of Ukraine, approved by NBU Board Resolution.

In particular, the amended resolution sets out the rules governing the centralized servicing of correspondent accounts of banks with the National Bank of Ukraine and provides for the creation of a single NBU regulation on information security when handling information protection facilities of the National Bank of Ukraine.

Resolution No 439 is intended to streamline measures to provide banking and other institutions operating in Ukraine with information protection facilities of the National Bank of Ukraine.  This resolution, inter alia, provides for the centralization of the agreement signing and execution procedure in respect of agreements on information protection at the National Bank of Ukraine.
