On July 10, 2015, the Law of Ukraine, dated June 18, 2015, No.541-VIII On Amendments to Some Laws and Regulations of Ukraine concerning the NBU Institutional Capacity Building came into force (hereinafter - Law No.541).

Law No. 541, inter alia, has entitled the Board of the National Bank of Ukraine to establish the Committee on Banking Regulation and Supervision and Oversight of Payment Systems (hereinafter - the Committee on Supervision).

The Committee on Supervision is established by virtue of NBU Board Resolution No. 477, dated July 24, 2015.

In view of the above, and with the aim of implementing the requirements set out in paragraph 6 of  the Final and Transitional Provisions of Law No. 541, on August 11, 2015, the Board of the National Bank of Ukraine adopted Resolution No. 517 amending some NBU regulations.
