Andrii Suprun takes charge of the NBU Division for Custodial Accounting of Government Securities

On October 21, 2015, Andrii Suprun was appointed Head of the NBU Division for Custodial Accounting of Government Securities.

Andrii Suprun has over 10 years of banking experience in securities custodial accounting. Prior to his appointment to the NBU, Andrii Suprun held the position of Head of the Custody  Division at OTP Bank. Since 2011, he  has been re-elected to the Board of the Professional Association of Registrars and Custodians for a third consecutive term. In addition, from 2009 to 2011, he chaired the Board of the All-Ukrainian Securities Depository (AUSD), and between 2011 and 2013 he served as member of the Supervisory Board of the AUSD. In 2006, Andrii Suprun graduated from the Kyiv International University with a degree in international relations.

As NBU Deputy Governor Oleh Churii said,  the priority tasks facing Andrii Suprun in his new position would be to impart greater transparency to the  activities of the NBU Depository, maintain a constructive dialogue with stock market players, streamline the execution and settlement of government securities transactions, forge cooperation with international depositories and step up efforts to facilitate  the upgrading of the securities market infrastructure. 

Prior to the appointment of Andrii Suprun to this position,  the Division was headed by Ihor Afanasiev since its establishment.
