National Bank of Ukraine Approves the Acquisition of Qualifying Holdings by Owners of Another Four Banks

The National Bank of Ukraine approved the acquisition of qualifying holdings by owners of another four banks. This is stated in the decisions of the Committee on Banking Supervision and Regulation, Payment System Monitoring (Oversight).

The NBU approved the acquisition of qualifying holdings in the amount of nearly 57% in Policombank PJSC by the following associated persons: Mykola P. Tarasovets, Yurii M. Tarasovets, and Oleksandr M. Tarasovets. At the beginning of 2015, the property structure made it impossible to uncover the bank’s beneficiary owners.

Additionally, the NBU approved the acquisition of direct qualifying holdings in the amount of 50% in Finexbank PJSC by Anna Sydorova (citizen of Latvia). At the beginning of 2015, the bank did not have a controller but had only one owner of qualifying holdings in the amount of not less than 50% - Serhii Osmukhin.

The NBU approved an increase in direct qualifying holdings in the amount of 87.7% in AgroComBank PJSC by Volodymyr Drobot. At the beginning of the current year, his holdings did not exceed 25%, while other shares were distributed between 10 individuals, none of them being the owner of qualifying holdings.

The NBU approved the acquisition of qualifying holdings in the amount of 73% in Alliance Bank PJSC by Oleksandr Sosin. At the beginning of the current year, there were no owners of qualifying holdings in the bank, and its shares were distributed between several persons, none of whom owned more than 10%.

We note that these four banks are among those in the process of legalizing their ownership structure, which has reached a crucial stage.
