On 16 February 2016, the Board of the National Bank of Ukraine issued Resolution No. 80 On the Issuance of Banknotes Bearing the Signature of NBU Governor Ms Valeria Gontareva in 2016.

Pursuant to the aforementioned resolution with the aim of ensuring cash circulation, the NBU will issue the 2003-2007 design banknotes bearing the signature of NBU Governor Ms Valeria Gontareva to replace the worn-out banknotes, damaged and withdrawn banknotes as part of the 2016 plan. The ten hryvnia banknotes will be put into circulation on 11 April 2016, and the twenty hryvnia banknotes will be issued into circulation on 26 August 2016.

In accordance with applicable laws, these banknotes will bear the signature of the NBU Governor.
