On 1 March 2016, Mr Oleksandr Zavadetskyi was appointed as Director of the Registration and Licensing Department.

Mr Zavadetskyi  was born on 16 July 1975. In 1999, graduated from Taras Shevchenko Kyiv National University, major in Jurisprudence, with a degree in Law. In 2001, Mr Zavadetskyi became a lawyer. Fluent in English.      

In 1996, Mr Zavadetskyi launched his professional career.  He has been in charge of Legal Departments in various banks and investment companies, including Raiffeisen Bank PJSC, Citibank Ukraine PJSC and Swedbank PJSC. On June 2, 2015, Oleksandr Zavadetskyi was appointed as Head of the NBU Office for Monitoring of the Bank’s Related Parties which was responsible for a new prudential supervisory function.

In his new job, Mr Zavadetskyi will be charged with the task of putting in place a surveillance framework to verify the compliance of banks, their owners and managers with the principles of transparency and responsibility in banking supervision.
