National Bank of Ukraine Expands the List of Its Banking Services

The National Bank of Ukraine has revised the list of fee-based banking services rendered by the central bank.  This decision has been approved by NBU Board Resolution No.360 of 28 July 2016  On Amendemnts to Some Regulations of the National Bank of Ukraine   (hereinafter – Resolution No 360).

Resolution No. 360, inter alia, introduces new services and establishes fees for these services, including  cash and settlement services, registration and licensing services, as well as services  for handling payment and settlement transactions involving the use of electronic means of payment issued by the national payment system “Ukrainian Payment Area” ( hereinafter –  “PROSTIR”).

“These amendments will improve the NBU’s fee policy and update its services in accordance with NBU regulations, said Director of the NBU Payment Systems and Innovative  Development Department Serhii Shatskyi. “We hope that affordable fees and accessible services will promote cashless e-payments and encourage market participants to expand the issuance of payment cards of this system.”

In view of the rebranding of the national payment system that involved changing its name from the NSMEP to Prostir, the services that it provides have been modified.

Also, some of its services have been removed from the list by Resolution No. 360.  These amendments have been prompted by the termination of the NSMEP’s operation based on national standards.
