The National Bank of Ukraine has reorganized the Registration and Licensing Department through the streamlining of its organizational structure staff right-sizing. On 17 October 2016, NBU Board Decision No. 341-рш was issued to this effect.
As part of the further transformation of the NBU, the Registration and Licensing Department has been reorganized into the Office for Registration and Licensing, a separate structural unit of the NBU.
The functions of the Office for Registration and Licensing include licensing, handling registration-related issues, carrying out monitoring of banks’ ownership structures, licensing of non-banking financial institutions and carrying out monitoring of banking groups.
The functions earlier performed by the Department, including licensing of FX operations carried out by individuals and legal entities, the exercise of control over compliance by residents with requirements for individual licenses and other authorization documents and permits issued by the NBU will be transferred to the NBU Financial Monitoring Department.
Mr Oleksandr Bevz has remained in charge of the revamped Office for Registration and Licensing.
