The Financial Awareness Days are the fourth and final stage of the large-scale regional project aimed at raising the level of financial literacy, which covered 99 events:

"Financial awareness strengthens confidence in the financial system, and every central bank has to use the opportunities for financial education and educate a financially competent consumer to build a successful country”, said NBU Acting Governor Yakiv Smolii at the solemn opening ceremony.

The Financial Awareness Days project has been jointly implemented by the NBU and the USAID within the framework of Ukraine—Financial Sector Transformation project and also with the support of Visa international payment system.

The events in Dnipro took place from 29 November through 1 December 2017 in partnership with State Higher Educational Institution Banking University, the Deposit Guarantee Fund, and the Independent Association of the Banks of Ukraine.

In 2017, the project covered the events held in Odesa, Kharkiv, Lviv, and Dnipro. The financial awareness events in four largest cities of Ukraine this fall attracted about 7.5 thousand people.
