In 2018, NBU will Continue to Alienate Non-Core Assets and Optimize the Number of Real Estate

NBU strategic goals in the immovable property management remain the same: the alienation of non-core assets and the optimization of the number of real estate, which is associated with the internal transformation of the NBU. This was stated by NBU Property and Procurement Department Director Yaroslav Ilnitskyi during the round table with representatives of the State Property Fund of Ukraine and its regional offices.

Yaroslav Ilnitskyi summed up the results of the current year with the transfer of real estate objects to other state authorities and outlined the NBU plans related to the introduction of a delegated model of cash circulation in Ukraine. Namely, this year the NBU has donated free of charge:

fitness center in Kyiv and recreation center “Pivdenni zori” in Zatoka, Odesa oblast, to the Ministry of Defense for the needs of rehabilitation of ATO soldiers

buildings and structures of the fire depot on the territory of the Banknote Printing and Minting Works in Kyiv - to the Ukrainian State Service for Emergencies

NBU administration buildings in Odesa - to the Ministry of Justice

The NBU Informatization Center building in Ternopil - to the State Treasury Service of Ukraine.

At the same time, the Acting Chairman of the State Property Fund of Ukraine Vitalii Trubarov noted a positive trend in the relations between the SPFU and the NBU. He also spoke about important amendments to the legislation on privatization and expressed the hope that they would favor the attraction of foreign investments.

In addition, this year, the State Property Fund, together with the NBU, also prepares for privatization four real estate objects that are on the balance sheet of the NBU:

Wellness Complex “Prykarpattia” in Yaremche, Ivano-Frankivsk oblast

garage complex in Dnipro, garages in small town Kostiantynivka and small town Sloviansk, Donetsk oblast

hotel complex (unfinished construction object) in the village Bilosaraiska Kosa, Donetsk oblast.

The participants of the meeting discussed the procedure of transfer of NBU buildings and structures to the lease and on balance to other state bodies or local authorities. They also discussed leasing of state-owned real estate objects and rental rules for authorized banks, and developed mechanisms for interaction between the two institutions. The participants of the meeting agreed on fruitful cooperation in issues of state property management.
