On April 25, 2014, Ms Alla Shulga was appointed as Director of General Department of Banking Supervision of the National Bank of Ukraine.

Her responsibilities will include exercising effective banking supervision of Group 1 and Group 2 banks, Group 3 and Group 4 banks operating in Kyiv and Kyiv Oblast, applying the appropriate enforcement measures to banks pursuant to the Ukrainian laws, and ensuring monitoring of the repayment of stabilization loans from the National Bank of Ukraine by banks.

Ms Alla Shulga was born on August 12, 1967. In 1988, she graduated from the Kiev Institute of National Economy as an economist. She majored in Finance and Credit. In 2003, Ms Alla Shulga graduated from Taras Shevchenko National University of Kyiv with a law degree.

Ms Alla Shulga has been employed in the banking industry since 1988. She has held managerial positions at All-Ukrainian Joint-Stock Bank, Joint Stock Commercial Industrial & Investment Bank, Joint-Stock Commercial Bank for Social Development “Ukrsotsbank”, Commercial Bank Nadra OJSC, and KREDITPROMBANK PJSC.

Starting from today, Ms Alla Shulga is a member of the National Bank of Ukraine Board ex officio.
