The National Bank of Ukraine has backed a social initiative run by the League of Ukrainian banks, a charity organization, and joined its program designed to provide financial assistance to conscripts and members of their families.

At a time when greater civic awareness among the Ukrainian people and social protection of those who risk their lives every day to safeguard peace and defend the territorial integrity of Ukraine are of utmost importance, the banking community has joined hands in efforts to provide financial assistance to military men and members of their families.

The funds accumulated by the 'League of Ukrainian banks' charity organization will be distributed by the Charity Commission, a public collegiate body, comprising managers of the National Bank of Ukraine, the Independent Association of Ukrainian Banks, the Association of Ukrainian Banks,  the Association 'Ukrainian Credit and Banking Union' and the 'League of Ukrainian banks' charity organization.

It is reported that the employees of the National Bank of Ukraine have raised UAH 2.4 million to support the military men and members of their families.
