Announcement regarding the termination of acceptance of proposals related to the Draft Law of Ukraine  “On Amending Some Legislative Acts of Ukraine (with regard to the Operation of Payment Systems  and Development of Cashless Settlements)”

In order to implement item 2 of the Resolution of the Board of the National Bank of Ukraine #179 of 2 June 2011 “ On Approval of the Concept of the Draft Law of Ukraine on Amending Some Legislative Acts of Ukraine (with regard to the Operation of Payment Systems  and Development of Cashless Settlements)” as well as to ensure the uninterrupted, reliable and efficient operation of the payment systems, the National Bank of Ukraine has elaborated the Draft Law of Ukraine  “On Amending Some Legislative Acts of Ukraine (with regard to the Operation of Payment Systems  and Development of Cashless Settlements)”, which was published on the web site of the  National Bank of Ukraine (hereinafter referred to as the Draft Law).

On 30 September 2011, a period of time for acceptance  of proposals and comments expired.

More than 55 economic entities have forwarded their proposals and comments, specifically, Ukrainian banks and their associations, nonbank institutions and structural units of the National Bank of Ukraine.

After processing the proposals that have been forwarded, the Draft Law will be submitted to the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine.
